A Single Man.

I know it's too late but I just saw it and it was amazing.

The film shows clothes and architecture of the 1960s which is my favorite era of the history.
According to Wiki, the production design is by the same team that designed the TV series Mad Men, which is set in the same era. It was perfect!
Btw, How come I type "A Single Man" on Wiki, and the entire plot including final ending appears?

Anyway, I loved Colin in this movie. He was sad, desperate, depressed, powerless, and missing..which I think I can understand somehow. He suddenly lost someone he passionately loved for 16 yrs and couldn't say goodbye or attend his funeral. He trys to kill himself every moment. There's no future or the present. To him, there's only the past.
I gotta say, I decided to watch this movie just to find out what's the movie would look like if Tom Ford directed it and of course, to see the costumes but there's more to it.
If you haven't seen it, I suggest you do it now.
